Local Farmers Markets and Events Around Albany

Albany is a fantastic place to live for families since there are many local and community events throughout the month around the area. One of the top things to do weekly is to attend the local Farmer’s Markets. There’s one every Tuesday and Saturday at El Cerrito Plaza from 9 AM to 1 PM and another smaller one on Sunday at the Kensington Farmers Market from 10 AM to 2 PM.

During the holiday season, like now, there are numerous community events such as the holiday book and toy drives where families can donate new or gently used toys that may no longer be cherished.

In January, Albany’s Community Center will be holding an art gallery by artist Kam Cheung Mok, presenting his “Sky, Mountain and Waterscape” paintings though the use of Chinese ink wash to portray natural landscapes around the world.
